Katie is a Pensacola native who attended Birmingham-Southern College and obtained her law degree from Louisiana State University (LSU). She is admitted to practice in Alabama as well as Florida. She is also a member of the Florida Bar's Section on Real Property, Probate and Trust Law.

In addition to her role as a Florida probate lawyer, Katie is actively involved in the community. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Community Maritime Park, an exciting downtown revitalization project in Pensacola, and is active in Pensacola Young Professionals.
